Our History

📍1973 — The Seed is Planted

In the town of Kozhikode, a group of committed scholars and visionaries formed ATQ to make Quranic education structured and accessible in Kerala. Through Qir’ath and Hifz competitions, public classes, and the launch of Ta’aleemul Quran College, ATQ kindled a passion for Quran among thousands.

The foundation was laid for a movement that connected hearts to the Book of Allah.

📍2012 — Alfitrah Academy is Born

Recognising the need for values-based early childhood education, ATQ launched Alfitrah Islamic Preschool in Kozhikode. The school followed the innovative Noorul Bayan-wel Fathurabbani methodology — enabling joyful, effective Quranic learning for children aged 3–6.
